The Benedictine monks of Marmion are brothers
in Christ, brought together by the Divine Call,
sharing their lives and seeking God under the
guidance of the Holy Rule of St. Benedict and
the inspiration of the Gospels.
Their prayer, both personal and liturgical, is
the most important aspect in their monastic life.
In the works of the monastery the gifts of each
monk are cherished and are placed at the service
of the community and the Church. they appreciate
and reverence the material goods of the monastery
as vessels of the altar and witness to their poverty
through the simplicity of their lives. The monks
strive to see Christ in everyone, especially in
their brothers and in their guests.
Marmion Monks' daily prayer includes Lauds (morning
prayer, Mass, Holy Hour, Vespers (evening prayer)
and Vigiels (Hour of Readings) and Compline (night
prayer). Visit the Liturgial
Schedule for more information.
