Marmion Academy welcomes students of ALL faiths. We teach our students the importance of taking time out of their day to reflect on the spiritual aspects of their lives.
The priests and brothers of Marmion Abbey, ten of whom are on faculty/staff, help students develop a strong faith and moral value through a Benedictine approach to education. A consistent presence on campus, the monks model compassion and commitment through their work with students.
Marmion offers a challenging college-preparatory curriculum that emphasizes a Catholic and Benedictine approach to education. Students experience a sense of brotherhood in our single-sex learning environment.
Annually, Marmion seniors achieve 100% college acceptance and approximately 80% of our graduates receive an academic scholarship or honor.
Marmion recognizes that our students learn in a variety of ways. The Academic Center Staff specialize in learning differences and support individual students by helping them with organization, time-management, study skills and test-taking strategies as well as providing accommodations for extended time for test-taking.
This program typically serves over 60 students with diagnosed learning differences in the form of Student Support Plans (Accommodation Plans).
Since 1934, developing Christian leaders has been an essential part of the Marmion Advantage. The skills taught at Marmion include:
Leadership will naturally occur as we develop young men of character with strong ethics and a solid understanding of responsibility.
Students choose to participate in one of two leadership programs: JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) or LEAD (Leadership Education and Development). This fundamental aspect of the Marmion Advantage is supported with four years of coursework and outside activities.
