Endowments for Academic Excellence

Academic Scholarships, awarded since 1959, are based upon proven and maintained academic performance. Endowed academic scholarship funds may be established with a gift of $25,000.

Endowment income from Financial Aid Endowments has enabled Marmion to increase the funding of need-based grants nearly three-fold in the last five years. These funds begin at $15,000.

Unrestricted Academic Endowments enable the Academy to apply funds "where the need is present" within the general operating budget. Unrestricted Academic Endowments begin at $10,000.

Academic Program Endowments allow donors to support specific curriculum areas and begin at $10,000. Some of the programs currently supported through these gifts include the Visiting Artists Endowment and the Memorial Writing Contest Endowment.

Faculty Endowments support the true stength of Marmion Academy: its outstanding faculty and staff. Faculty endowments enable Marmion to encourage and faily compensate excellence in teaching. Endowments begin at $50,000. Endowed Faculty Chairs begin with partial funding at $250,000 and full funding ranging from $500,000 to $1,000,000.

Plant Maintenance Endowments support the "home" of Marmion Academy, a 325-acre campus adjoining the grounds forest areas and tree farm of Marmion Abbey. These endowments begin at $10,000.
